Student Employment at BYU–Hawaii

Student employees play a vital role in filling employment needs and help carry out the daily operations in many areas of the university. Student employees are an integral part in the success in fulfilling the mission of BYU–Hawaii.

Students work for a variety of reasons. Some students need money to finance their education. Others recognize that the skills and work habits gained on the job will benefit them when they seek full-time employment upon graduation. Student employment can be a complement to their academic studies by providing real world opportunities for students to put into practice those things learned in the classroom.

Matriculated students are encouraged to apply for student jobs available online and can only work up to 19 hours per week. However, please be aware of the following requirements:

I-9 Form – must be completed BEFORE employment begins. All students are required to report to Student Employment Office with their original and unexpired documents that prove identity and eligibility to work in the U.S.
