Title:
Director of Human Resource Development
Qualifications:
-Must have Master's degree in organizational behavior, MBA, human resource development or related field.
-Must have 5-8 years of training and development experience preferably including leadership of a training department. Must have significant training delivery experience.
-Prefer that the person have corporate training experience rather than academic experience and extensive white collar training experience including management development programming.
- Prefer that the person has had program creation and development experience.
- Prefer that the person has leadership development experience including competency model development and creation of 360 degree feedback instruments.
-Prefer organization development background and experience including team building, organizational diagnosis, strategy formulation and implementation, organization design, and executive coaching.
-Experience with design and implementation of performance management systems is preferred.
-Competencies required include organizational data gathering and diagnosis, influence skills, the ability to interact with senior management, process facilitation skills, presence and the ability to command an audience, and a high degree of self confidence.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Responsible for strategic oversight, design, and delivery of training programs for administrative, faculty, and staff audiences including management training.
-Serve as an internal consultant on organizational development projects throughout the university including organizational data gathering and analysis, team building, organization design, mission and strategy development, and customer service improvement.
-Manage the design and successful implementation and use of campus wide performance management process.
-Deliver/oversee customized training upon request from campus organizations.
-Chair campus wide training council.
-Provide oversight for computer based training strategy and development for organizations across campus.
-Provide strategic oversight for BYU wide employee wellness program. Serve as co-chair of the BYU Wellness advisory committee.
-Responsible for campus-wide training budget and campus-wide wellness budget
