When can I expect to be called for an interview?
Each search committee will create a timeline based on the closing date, urgency for the position to be filled, availability of search committee members, and applicant pool qualifications. Not all applicants will receive interviews. However, letters to those who will not receive interviews are generally sent within 48 hours after the applications have been returned to our office.
How do I know if a position has been filled?
Once interviews are completed for regular positions we ask for a minimum of three finalists from the search committee. Each finalist is ranked based on qualifications, department fit and interview results. Search Committee findings are then reviewed by a member of the President's Council and in most cases by the entire Council. Second interviews may also be required before final decision making takes place. Once approvals have been granted, the job offer will usually be made by the Search Committee Chair. All other finalists will be informed by a phone call from the Chair or a letter will be sent from Human Resource Services.

Staff applications are kept on file for one year; administrative staff applications are kept on file for two years.
